The Conquering Aga Khans Defend the Inter Schools Aquathon Title

The Aga Khan Academy boys swimming team defended the overall Best Boys team trophy in the Coast Interschools Triathlon and Aquathon championships, held on the 11th and 12th October 2008

In a superb performance, the swim team managed to collect 30 gold, 22 silver and 26 bronze medals.

The boys' team was second to none while the girls' team was 1st runners up in the Aquathon. "Since we went to try the tri (triathlon), our team was very lean but its presence was felt in all the age groups we participated and we were 1st runners up boys, 1st runners up girls and 1st runners up overall school."

The Best Athletes of the event were non other than Shivrajsinh Vaghela and Martyn Matiba who managed to clinch gold in the Aquathon, gold in Triathlon, gold in Aquathon Relay and finally gold in the Triathlon Relay.
