One of the main aims of the visit was to meet with Canadian educators, to present the Academies initiative and to assess interest in possible future positions at the Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa.

Presentations were given in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver and were very well received. More than 500 people attended, and interviews were subsequently conducted with many potential candidates.
