Teachers’ professional development is significant to enhance students’ learning.

Teachers’ professional development is significant to enhance students’ learning. Keeping this view in mind, an academic unit comprising Vice Principal - Academics, two Academic Coordinators and seven Subject Lead Teachers (SLTs), work in different dimensions to improve quality of teaching and learning at AKHSS, K. The academic unit conducts need-based professional development programmes such as summer workshops, subject-based meetings, and peer observation cycles for teachers to help them adopt and adapt modern teaching strategies in variety of ways. Teachers and students are engaged in school based researches. These research findings are used to improve quality of teaching and learning in classes. We also offer various courses and scholarships for advanced learning of teachers.
