The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa held its first annual Senior Ball on Friday, June 10 in its stunning new facility, the Commons. Themed ‘Black & White Masquerade’, over 100 students and faculty came together to celebrate the successes of our graduating classes.

Students, all finely dressed, were greeted by the Head of Academy and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Burrough, before experiencing the grandeur of the Commons, a fitting venue for such a formal occasion.

After a delicious meal, students enjoyed a slide show sharing past memories then they had a chance to show their teachers a range of dance steps. They also enjoyed an ‘all in’ sequence dance where they changed partners to Rednex music. Overall, it was a wonderful occasion – and a great way to open the new Commons!
