Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi - Junior School excels in the Keele International Tournament

Fourteen students from the Aga Khan Academy Nairobi-Junior School flew to Manchester UK to participate in the Keele International Cup.

Fourteen students from the Aga Khan Academy Nairobi-Junior School accompanied by seven parents and two teachers, flew to Manchester UK, in July 2011 to participate in the Keele International Cup. In addition to playing against world-class international junior teams, the participants had the opportunity to have some fun and visited: Alton Towers (Britain’s biggest theme park), the Manchester United Stadium, and London’s famous sites such as the London Eye. Matches were played at Newcastle College and at Keele University against teams from Stockholm, Chicago, Stafford and Kenya.

The Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi-Junior School team won the Silver Plate trophy in its category, beating Rusinga School and Ligi Ndogo to win this prestigious award. Each student received a medal to commemorate their victory.
