Student Leadership Programme

The Student Leadership Programme is a structured course designed to develop leadership competencies in our senior students. This unique initiative challenges students to think about leadership, leadership styles and competencies. It then attempts to build leadership competencies such as emotional intelligence, communication skills, persuasion and influence and conflict management, working from an ethical perspective, building teams, and leadership capacity. Participants are then required to design and implement a social change project in that it reflects an issue of social and community importance. Students develop a strategy to address the problem, and to mobilize a team of people to address the issue. Successful completion of the project is a requirement to pass the course.
