The school is affiliated with BIESP (Peshawar board of examination). Starting 2017, the Middle School Programme affiliated with the Aga Khan University Education Board has also been initiated.
The Aga Khan School, Brep is over three decades old. The school started in 1986 as a primary school with only 70 students, set up in a local Jamatkhana, with a single teacher leading the students. It has since been upgraded to a middle school in 1991 and then to a high school in 1995.
The school now serves over 320 students, 47% of which are female. English is the medium of instruction and the school teaches pre-primary through high.

The school offers professional development to all its staff, taking place once a month for 6 hours each, totaling 72 hours per year.
